  • 1 to 2 tbs. vinegar
  • 1 to 2 tbs. sugar
  • some sliced onion
  • about 8 whole cloves

Drain liquid from can of beets into bowl. Add 1/4 tsp. salad oil, 1 to 2 Tbs. each vinegar & sugar, some sliced onion & about 8 whole cloves. Add beets. This is better if allowed to marinate a few hours or overnight.
