  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) lemon juice
  • 2 15- oz can chickpeas rinsed and drained
  • 1 large apple peeled cored & chopped (i used macintosh, but golden delicious is typically used)
  • 1/4 cup (62 grams) natural peanut butter
  • 1/8 sp cayenne pepper (optional)

In a blender or food processor put all of your ingredients minus half of the chickpeas and blend until smooth. Add the remaining chickpeas and blend again until smooth. Serve with apple slices, pita chips, or carrot sticks and enjoy.
