French toast with rasberry jam maple syrup - and idea from Real Simple Magazine. For a seasonally astounding variation, replace bread slices with panettone (a traditional Italian holiday dessert bread you can find at Whole Foods Market during the Christmas season only). My husband was absolutely wild for this and asked if I could prepare it every day!

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 slices whole wheat bread or panettone at xmas time
  • 2 tablespoons confectioners sugar
  • 2 tablespoons raspberry jam
  • 4 tablespoons maple syrup
