This is the soup I make everytime:)

  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 cube beef bullion
  • 1/2 pot water
  • 1 cube ikan bilis (fish) bullion
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/2 cup cabbage finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup green vegetable finely chopped
  • 1 fish-fillet (skinned & cubed) and/or fish cake
  • 1/2 cup prawns (fresh or frozen) de-shelled
  • 2 cups cooked noodles (angel hair bee-hoon, or macaroni)

NOODLE: For Bee Hoon: Soak the noodles in Hot Water for 5 minutes then strain and set aside. Serve soup mixture over the soft noodles. For Macaroni: Add the macaroni at the beginning... when the macaroni is cooked-through the cabbage will be also be ready... SOUP MIXTURE: Boil the water, seasoning, cabbage and green vegetables until the cabbage is soft. Cooking it thoroughly sweetens the taste. Finally, add the fish and prawn and bring to a 2nd boil. Serves 2 (with a little left over for Dad;-)
