This stems from an old family recipe. I just modified it a little bit to fit my husbands and my tastes. Him and his friends go nuts for it and its requested often... especially on Superbowl Sunday.

  • 1 can pinto beans drained
  • 1 can corn drained
  • 1/3 cup chili powder
  • 1/2 white onion diced
  • 1 can black beans drained
  • 1 can chili beans drained
  • 1 can diced green chilis
  • 1 can dark red kidney beans drained
  • 1 can light red kidney beans drained
  • 1 can bush's texas ranchero grillin beans undrained
  • 1 2 quart tomato juice
  • 1 can whole tomatoes skinned cut into hunks
  • 1 small can tomato soup
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic minced
  • 2 pounds ground beef 73/27 browned
  • 2 tbsp tabasco sauce
  • 1 can ranch beans drained

1. In a 5 quart boiling pot or dutch oven combine Ground Beef, Onion, and Garlic over medium heat until hamburger is cooked through but not overdone. 2. Using a large collander (drainer), add Both cans of Kidney beans, Ranch beans, Chili beans, Black Beans, and Pinto Beans together and rinse under cold water until water runs clear. !!! DO NOT DRAIN CORN OR TEXAS RANCHERO GRILLIN BEANS. They add extra flavor to chili. !!! 3. When beef is cooked through add beans and remaining ingredients to the pot and stir enough so that it doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan, until hot.
