Peel & slice the onion & put them up for frying [in a pot big enough for the soup] until lightly brown & caramelized. Add butter & flour & stir until there's noire lumpy pieces of the flour. Next add the water, soup mix, oil & salt & pepper & cook for about 1 hour on a medium flame. When done, place little pieces of cheese in a plate & pour the soup over it to melt.
