Some like it hot some don't. I tend to add 1 tsp of cayenne pepper and no hot sauce. The rest of the measurements are the same. I also use my on tomato sauce.

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 jalapeno peppers chopped
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 3 stalks celery chopped
  • 1 large sweet onion chopped
  • 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon bacon bits
  • 2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoons hot sauce
  • 1 pound pork veal beef mix
  • 1 (15) can (ounces) chili beans mild sauce (not drained)
  • 1 (15) can (ounces) light red kidney beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 (15) can (ounces) dark red kidney beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 (15) can (ounces) pinto beans drained and rinsed
  • 2 (14.5) cans (ounces) tomatoes not drained
  • 1 (6) can (ounce) tomato paste

Brown the ground beef, pork and veal. Romove and sauté the celery and onion in olive oil. Then add the garlic and spices and cook until browned. Add the remaining ingredients, bring to a boil and simmer for one hour.
