  • 2 cans tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon real butter not margerine
  • 2 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro or 1/2 tablespoon dried cilantro
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper or to taste

Melt the butter in a medium sauce pan on low heat. Add the garlic and cook, stirring often, until it just starts to darken. Add all other ingredients. Cover and turn heat to high. Once sauce begins to boil, lower heat to low and simmer for 20-30 minutes. Remove bay leaf. Serve over hot noodles.
