You use sausage or kielbasa, or Polish sausage, potatoes, chicken broth.

  • 1/2# kielbasa or polish s fully cooked and diced
  • 6 medium potatoes, diced. (peeled opt.)
  • 2 cups frozen corn (opt.)
  • 1 1/2 cups low sodium chicken broth i used 32 oz. of chicken broth
  • 1 or 2 celery stalks chopped
  • 1/2 t. onion powder or fresh onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 t. garlic powder or fresh garlic minced
  • 1/4 t. pepper
  • 1/2 t. salt ( if using low sodium broth add the salt.) ( if using reg. chicken broth the dont add salt. or not much)
  • 1 1/2 cups milk (i used half & half) be sure to temperate it before adding to hot broth
  • 2/3 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 t. chopped parsley or dried parsley

Brown sausage in skillet, drain and set aside. In large stock pot, add veggies, seasonings, and broth. Bring to a boil and simmer until soft. Add in the sausage, milk or half and half. ( remember to Temperate you milk with hot broth before adding it to you pot. Add in the cheese. Cook on low heat setting till hot. Serve with crusty bread opt.
