  • 1 tsp poultry seasoning
  • 1 tsp celery seed
  • 2 stalks celery, with leaves chopped
  • 2 tbsp margerine or butter
  • 7 cups day-old bread cubes
  • 1 cup melted margarine or butter
  • 3 tsp ground sage
  • 1 tsp salt (i use 1/2)

Combine onion with water and set aside for 5 minutes. Cook onion and celery in butter/margarine until onions tender but not brown, about 5 minutes. In a large bowl, toss onion mix with bread cubes to mix well. Combine remaining ingredients in hot water and pour over bread, tossing lightly as needed.
