  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 teaspoons salt
  • 8 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 pound bulk italian sausage
  • 4 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 3 cups onion finely chopped
  • 2 12-oz cans tomato paste
  • 6 28-oz cans italian-style or plain crushed tomatoes in puree
  • 1 bulb garlic minced
  • 8 bay leaves
  • 8 teaspoons dried basil leaves
  • 8 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
  • 6 boxes mushrooms sliced - (can be any kind of 'shrooms)

In a large pot, cook and stir the meats with onions until the meat is brown. Add remaining ingredients. Bring sauce to a boil; reduce heat. Partly cover and simmer for 2 to 4 hour, stirring occasionally.
