Grandma's delicious mustard sauce for ham. When I couldn't find this recipe, I looked high and low for something similar but nothing as great as this one. Always a popular side to ham. Thank you Mom!!

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup cider vinegar
  • paprika
  • 3 tablespoon white sugar
  • 3 tablespoon prepared mustard

Melt butter. Set aside to cool. In small bowl, beat egg, sugars and mustard. Add vinegar and beat again. Blend into cooled butter. Cook over low heat stirring just til thickened-about 5 minutes. Taste and add salt, pepper and paprika. Serve warm or cold. Makes 1 cup My version is to combine all ingredients and microwave until bubbling.
