Combine flour, salt, and dash of pepper; coat meat cubes in seasoned flour. Brown in olive oil. Put in slow cooker and add soup, 2 1/2 cups water, onion and basil. Add potatoes, carrots and wine. Cover and cook on HIGH for 3-4 hours or LOW for 6-8 hours. NOTES : If you choose to cook this in the oven...cook beef at 375 covered for one hour and then add the veggies and wine for one more hour. The tomato soup & basil is a nice change from beef broth.
