Slice onions into thin wedges and saute in margarine until brown (about 12 minutes). Transfer to bowl of food processor and chop slightly. Stir in remaining ingredients and mix well. I served this, hot, over thinly sliced broiled flank steak, alongside corn on the cob and a salad. The flavour combinations were interesting, but I think Im going to decrease the amount of sugar next time, since the vinegar was so sweet on its own.
