1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon garlic minced
2 pounds beef stew meat (it's chopped/cubed steak, essentially, in the meat case (not necessarily needed specially from the deli) in the super market)
2 onions (any kind) they can be cut into pretty big pieces becuase they get really soft - i typically cut the onion into thirds, then into 1/2 and that's it
8 stalks celery cut into 1/2 inch pieces (i just eyeball this)
8 carrots - cut into 1/2 inch pieces (i just eyeball this)
28oz can canned tomatoes (you can use muir glen fire roasted if you want) - not diced tomatoes, or crushed tomatoes
1/2 cup tapioca ( i think that the only way tapioca is available is in pearl form. if you just dump pearls on the mixture, you get weird booger-type gelatin blobs at the end (it tastes completely fine, but it looks gross)- so...! take 1/2 cup of pearls,mix just a li
6 potatoes (any kind) cut into large pieces (like the celery and carrots)
