  • 2/3 cup all purpose flour
  • nonstick cooking spray
  • 1/2 cup parmesan grated
  • 1 pkg mozzarella string cheese
  • 2 cups dry bread crumbs with italian seasoning

1. Remove string cheese from the packaging and cut each cheese stick in half crosswise. Place cheese sticks on baking sheet. Cover with plastic wrap and place in the freezer for 30 to 45 minutes or until very cold (do not freeze solid) 2. Preheat air fryer to 390°F. 3. Place flour in a large sealable plastic bag. 4. In a shallow dish, combine breadcrumbs and Parmesan. 5. In another shallow dish, whisk eggs until blended. 6. Add six cheese sticks to bag of flour, seal and toss until coated. (keep the remaining cheese sticks in the freezer until ready to coat and air fry. 7. Working with one stick at a time, dip in egg, shaking off excess, then roll in breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere. As they are coated, place cheese sticks in air fryer basket, leaving space in between. Spray with cooking spray. 8. Air fry for three minutes. Open basket and, using tongs or spatula, carefully turn cheese sticks over. Air fry for 3 to 5 minutes or until golden brown. Serve immediately. 9. Repeat steps six, seven and eight with the remaining cheese sticks, flour, egg and breadcrumbs mixture. Discard any excess flour, egg and breadcrumbs mixture.
