Heres a new look at an old favorite. Yumm. I used 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1/3 tsp of nutmeg, 1/2 a cup of brown sugar and a really good handful of raisins (not originally ask for at all). After all, isn't it the good stuff in the middle that makes a cinnamon bun?

  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 cup bread flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 package dry yeast
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin or 1/2 cup mashed cooked pumpkin
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar packed (or more if you like)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (or more if you like)
  • 1/2 cup golden raisin (or more if you like)
  • 1/2-3/4 cup sifted confectioners' sugar
