Almond Butter Bliss

Almond Butter Bliss
Almond Butter Bliss
This is a variation on a nut butter I was taught by a wonderful food instructor from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition in Toronto, Ontario. She sprouted her almonds first, which rendered them nutritionally superior. You can add this step if you are ambitious, but then dehydrate rather than roasting afterwards before processing the nuts. Nutritionally, it's full of protein and healthy MCTs. It will give you sustained energy for a long time and is great pre-workout or as an afternoon pick me up when your energy is low. The recipe tastes so delish Antonio refers to it as "Crack in a Jar." AND I HAVE TO HIDE IT OR IT DISAPPEARS LIKE FLUFFERNUTTER AROUND KIDS. Be warned. It will not last long and you will need to make it often or develop hiding places for your personal stash!

Put the ingredients in a food process and process until completely mixed and smooth. Place in glass jar with tight lid. Does not need to be refrigerated, but should be stored in a cool cupboard. If it gets too warm it gets sloppy. Serve on celery or use as a pre-workout energy boost on a spoon!
