  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 lb apples (i used empire apples)
  • 4 cardamom pods

Cut the apples into quarters and place them in a pot with water and sugar.Cook until soft, about 15 minutes. Stir occasionally.Transfer the apples from the pot to the sauce maker and start processing.Break the cardamom pods using the side of a knife.Transfer the apple sauce back to the pot and drop the cardamom pods in the sauce.Cook for one hour until the flavors are well blended.Store in Ball jars.
