Great for a family reunion, these taste like they came from your local BB-Q joint. prep is easy and you can cook in oven or leave out the liquid smoke and put on the top rack of your smoker next time you are smoking a brisket.

  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke
  • 5 cans pork and beans rinse beans in sink, until all juice is off
  • 1 med bell pepper chopped
  • 1 med onion chopped
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 cup barbeque sauce any sauce you like, i use head country a local favorite
  • 2 cloves garlic cloves minced
  • 6 strips bacon chopped (dont cook bacon completely in microwave)
  • 3/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 16 oz. smoked sausages sliced

Rinse Pork and Beans juice in a collander place aside. chop onions and bell peppers and cook in microwave for 45 seconds to soften set aside. cook bacon about 2/3rds done and chop and set aside. combine all ingredients in a covered cooking pot 350 degrees for 90 min or until start boiling. let cool a bit and serve.
