In small saucepan, bring water and salt to a boil, add grain and spice, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until grain is tender, stirring occasionally. Be careful not to overcook. To naturally sweeten add 1 pitted and chopped Medjool date to boiling water or nut milk. TIME SAVING TIP: cook a large batch of your favorite whole grain to reheat throughout the week.
