Preheat the oven to 450°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, cayenne (if using), and cheddar. In a liquid measuring cup, whisk together the buttermilk and melted butter.Pour the buttermilk mixture onto the dry ingredients and use a rubber spatula to lightly mix. You don’t want to over mix, just fold until everything is incorporated.Use a 1/4 cup cookie (or you could just use spoons) scoop to scoop out biscuits on to the prepared baking sheet.Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.While the biscuits are baking, whisk together the melted butter, parsley, and garlic powder. When the biscuits are done, brush with the garlic butter mix and enjoy immediately!
