It is very important to read this recipe through before starting to put it together. In my haste to cook these for a New Year’s Eve Party – I threw everything into a bowl and started to mix it together. The results were still good, but the Rice Krispies really should be added at the end so that they keep some semblance of themselves through the preparation and cooking process.

  • dash salt
  • 2 cups rice krispies
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup margarine softened (not butter)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour measured, then sifted

Combine cheese, margarine, flour, pepper & salt. Mix well. Add cereal. Shape in small walnut-sized balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten w/fork (first vertical, then horizontal). Cook 12 to 15 minutes or until slightly brown.
