This is my Grandma's recipe for some very yummy mashed potatoes. This has been in my family for quite some time and I love making it for friends and family. Make this recipe for a holiday meal and it will be an instant hit!

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 9 large potatoes peeled, boiled and mashed
  • 1/4 cup butter

In large mixer bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sour cream, butter and seasonings. Slowly add mashed potatoes, beating as added. May need some milk to make right consistency. Taste for seasoning. Pour into a greased baking dish. Melt 1/4 cup butter and pour over top. Bake in uncovered dish at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
