Turkey stuffing the Humphreys traditional way! This is the stuffing I grew up with. Sore fingers on Thanksgiving morning from peeling chestnuts was a way of life in my family. The more veggies in this the better.

  • 4 cups chicken stock
  • 2 cups chopped celery
  • 2 (16oz) packages pepperidge farm herb stuffing mix
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 2 1/2 lbs chestnuts roasted, peeled and quartered
  • 1 pound mushrooms chopped fine
  • 2 cups chopped onions
