Get butter started melting first on the stove in an approved stove top pan or corning ware sauce pan. Remove before it boils!! Add dry ingredients together first and mix well. Then add eggs, milk, melted butter and oil mix well. Beat well, mix is ready to use - consistency should not be like water, but more like between a cake batter and brownie batter - the thicker it is the fluffier the waffles will be - but I don't like big waffles so mine tends to be a bit runnier than most.
