PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 (IF USING SAUSAGE INSTEAD OF HAM, COOK 2 POUNDS OF GROUND SAUSAGE UNTIL NO LONGER PINK AND IT CRUMBLES -- DRAIN WELL) In a large bowl, mix the hash browns, ham (or cooked sausage) and cheese. Pour into a lightly greased 9" x 13" dish. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Pour evenly over the potatoes. Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes, or until eggs are set.
