  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1 egg well beaten
  • â¾ teaspoon salt
  • 1â½ cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons melted shortening or salad oil

Sift flour with baking powder & salt into medium bowl. Add caraway seed. In small bowl, combine egg, shortening & milk until well combined. Pour, all at once, into flour mixture, mixing only until dry ingredients are moistened.
