  • 4 cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon sage
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 2 cubes chicken bouillon
  • 2 onions chopped
  • 2 carrot chopped
  • 1 handful parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon tarragon
  • 3 stalks celery chopped
  • 1 pound chicken gizzard
  • 2 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 box low sodium chicken broth
  • corn starch to thicken

Brown Chicken Gizzards in heavy pan with oil. In a large stock pot bring water and chicken broth to a boil. Add all ingredients and reduce heat to low - medium low, and cook (covered) for 6 to 8 hours. Stir occasionally. After 4 hours, taste every 30 minutes. When satisfied with flavor, strain out solids and thicken with corn starch or flour.
