These are my favorite of all my baked beans recipes! I have taken this to picnics and served them at home.

  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar firmly packed
  • 1 medium green bell pepper chopped
  • 1/2 pound bacon diced
  • 4 16 ounce cans baked style beans

In medium skillet, fry bacon until crisp. Drain, reserving 2 tablespoons drippings. In slow cooker, combine bacon, reserved drippings and remaining ingredients, stirring until well mixed. Cover; cook on low setting for 6 to 8 hours.
