Preheat oven to 350°F Lightly grease a 9 x 5 loaf pan. In a large bowl, combine the all purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, salt and brown sugar and then mix well. Add 1/4 cup honey and the beer and stir well. Pour the mixture into the pan. Melt and mix the extra butter and honey, and then brush it over the dough. Bake for 50 minutes.
