  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 1 carrots chopped (i add a lot of them!)
  • 1 turnip chopped
  • 1 can diced or stewed tomatoes (i use the italian)
  • 1 potatoes chopped (eyeball it!)
  • 1 tsp (each) salt & pepper
  • beef broth granules or cubes to taste

This is the basic recipe. You can add whatever seasonings or vegetables you want. I sometimes add a can of corn. 1. Brown ground beef and onion in a large skillet. 2. Add vegetables, tomatoes (I sometimes add 2 cans), salt & pepper, and granules. Stir all together. 3. Add water to almost fill skillet. Bring to a boil. Let boil 10 to 15 minutes. Reduce heat to a low boil and cook until veggies are tender, probably a total of 30 to 45 minutes. Leave uncovered and add additional water if needed. Once veggies are done, tast again and adjust seasonings. Good with cheese toast or cheese rolls!
