You will make this all in one pan, so use a Dutch oven, or whatever deep soup pan you have. Sautéed chopped garlic and onions in butter until translucent, on medium heat. Add chopped potatoes and water; boil then simmer, covered, for 30-45 mins. Add milk, chopped broccoli, continue simmering, uncovered, for 20-30 mins. Salt and pepper to taste, stir in shredded sharp cheddar just before serving. Yum
