I created this recipe after moving from Texas to a military base in Japan. My family loves Tex-Mex but Jalapenos are scarce here so I had to get creative

  • 2 cans rotel-tomatoes and green chilis drained i use hot but there are also original or mild varieties
  • 1/4 cups yellow onion chopped or sliced
  • 1/4 cup or to taste fresh cilantro bunch
  • 1/2 tsp season salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • splash lemon juice
