This makes a yummy banana bread. I created this recipe when I was in Sweden.. It's great piping hot out of the oven with butter.

  • 1/2 salt

  • 1 3/4 c flour
  • 1/3 c butter or margerine
  • 2 t vanilla

  • 1/2 cinnamon
  • 1/4 nutmeg
  • 1/2 chocolate chips (optional)

Cream Butter, sugar and vanilla until smooth and light Add 2 eggs and Bananas beat until fluffly Mix together dry ingredients and add to banana mixture until just combined. Do not overbeat Pour into greased bread pan Bake at 350 for about 1 hour to 1 hour ten minutes or until toothpick comes out clean and it’s brown Serve with butter and devour! Variations: Add mini chocolate chips at the end and cook in muffin tins (about 20 minutes) for Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins!
