Grease a 9"x5"x3" loaf pan.Beat coconut oil, butter or shortening while slowly adding sugar. Beat until well creamed.Add eggs one at a time beating well between each addition.Add mashed bananas, vanilla and blend well.Add flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, coffee, 3/4 cup chocolate chips and nuts. Mix on low speed until blended.Pour chocolate banana bread batter into greased loaf pan. Push batter into the corners of the loaf pan leaving the center slightly hallowed. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup chocolate chips. For a well rounded loaf allow batter to rest 20 minutes before baking.Bake bread for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of loaf comes out clean.Allow loaf to cool completely before slicing.
