  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 2 cans (14-1/2 ounces each) diced tomatoes undrained
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 cans (16 ounces each) kidney beans rinsed and drained
  • 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 medium green pepper
  • 1 teaspoon baking cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce optional

Directions In a large saucepan, cook beef and onion over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink; drain. Add the remaining ingredients; bring to a boil.
