we called these "nuts and bolts" when I was young and my mom made it in the oven. I have adjusted it to be made in the crock pot. A nice savory snack to have around during the holidays

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 3 cups shreddies
  • 2 cups pretzel sticks
  • 3 cups cheerios
  • 2 cups waffle pretzels
  • 1/2 tbsp celery salt
  • 1 tbsp parmesan cheese powder
  • 2 tbsps worcestershire sauce

Put Cheerios, Shreddies, Pretzel Sticks and Waffle Pretzels into large crock pot. Add celery salt, onion powder, garlic powder, Parmesan cheese and Worcestershire sauce to melted butter, mix well and pour over mixture in crock pot. Stir all ingredients together making sure everything is coated well with butter mixture, turn crock pot on low and cook for 1 1/2 hours. Stir the snack mix every so often to ensure even browning of ingredients. You can add 1 cup of peanuts to this recipe if you like.
