Italian Garlic Bread from Angelett
I make this all time favorite bread with either Italian or French bread. I like to buy the old dry bread as I think it makes a nicer garlic bread. This goes with many dishes or on the side of a big salad. I love garlic so it's a favorite of mine and the family and friends love it too!

Use a loaf of bread that is hard and crusty, not the soft breads as the crusty bread makes a better garlic bread. Slice the bread all the way through. Place on aluminum foil. Chopped garlic, mix with softened butter, and add garlic salt. Butter the right side only of each slice of bread. Butter the top too, then sprinkle parmesan cheese and parsley flakes on the top. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. This bread warms up nicely in a toaster oven too if you have leftovers.
