I pull these out when I want biscuits but know I have very little time and ingredients. They are crispy on the outside and fluffy in the inside.

  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1st bowl (medium)
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup butter cold

Mix flour, sugar, baking power, & salt. Cut in butter until pea sized pieces. Add in cold buttermilk and form into a ball. Roll into a 6x9 rectangle. Cut into thirds. Stack each third on top of each other and roll into a 6x9 rectangle again. Try not to overwork the dough. Cut using a 2 1/4 inch circle cookie cutter. Bake at 450F for 10-12 minutes.
