I made this pasta and bean dish one night when I realized I didn't have all the ingredients to make pasta e faglioi the old fashioned way. I had a lg can of V-8 juice And I thought. What the heck! It's been a family favorite for years now.

  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 lg can v-8 juice
  • 1 lg onion chopped
  • 2-3 fresh garlic, peeled diced
  • salt & pepper to taste to taste
  • 2 lg cans cannelloni beans
  • 1 lb rotini or pasta of your choice

Cook approx 30 min on simmer letting V-8 juice thicken. Add beans. Cook pasta, add to beans. Taste again and season if necessary. Serve in bowls And hot italuan bread.
