This is verry simple but I loved it so much I had to post it. It's great to have a new twist to an old favorite.

  • 1 cup lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 cup superfine sugar
  • 8 large basil leaves
  • 1 quart water

In drink picture, combine the lemon juice and sugar and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Wash the basil leabes verry carefully, then add them to the lemon sugar mixture and gently crush the leaves agianst the sides and bottom of the picture using the back of the spoon, and add to tast. For an adult twist add an oz of citron Vodka or limoncello to each glass. Pour over ice and enjoy.
