Lew's Famous Southern Bloody Marys

Lew's Famous Southern Bloody Marys
Lew's Famous Southern Bloody Marys
I started drinking these Bloody Marys while away at college. I knew there had to be a different type of tomato juice out there, and that is why Clamato juice is a must for this recipe. Also, using gin instead of vodka enhances the flavor of the Clamato juice. Nowadays, while at the lake during the summer, I serve these before we have an Eggs Benedict brunch. Also, at LSU games while tailgating with my cousins and friends in their motorhomes, I will quadruple this recipe and "Cheer on the Tigers!"

In a pitcher, combine all the ingredients, except the celery. You may adjust the seasonings to your tastes. Fill a glass with ice and a celery stalk (You could also use pickled okra, pickled string beans, pickled onions, olives, boiled shrimp, or a combination of all as the garnish) Pour the Bloody Mary in the glass and enjoy!
