I THINK this came from Paul Deen but we have been making it for so long I'm not sure where I first found it. My children (one is a picky eater) love this version.

  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 heads broccoli buds or 12 oz bag broccoli slaw
  • 2 bunches green onions sliced thin
  • 2 package ramen noodles chicken or beef flavor
  • 1 cup roasted edemame (soy nuts)

1. Combine broccoli and onions in a zip lock bag. 2. Combine ONE FLAVOR PACKET FROM THE RAMEN NOODLES, oil, vinegar, and sugar in a jar; shake well to combine. Pour over broccoli and refrigerate the bag until ready to serve. 3. Combine noodles, seeds, and nuts in another zip lock bag. Set aside until ready to serve. 4. Combine both bags before serving.
