In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and onion. Drain well. Add tomatoes and water; bring to a boil. Add macaroni and bring back to a boil. Reduce the heat to simmer and cook for 10 minutes or until macaroni is done. Sprinkle cheese on top and stir until cheese is melted.
