  • 1 teaspoon butter melted
  • 8 slices french or italian bread cut into 1 inch thick slices
  • 20 ounces canned peach slices drained
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans optional
  • 1/6 cup milk
  • 1/6 cup maple syrup
  • 2/3 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2/3 teaspoon vanilla extract

Spread cream cheese on both sides of bread slices. Prick each bread slice 3 to 4 times with a fork. Alternately layer bread slices with peaches in slow cooker. Sprinkle chopped pecans over peaches, if desired. Beat eggs in a bowl. Add milk, maple syrup, butter, cinnamon, vanilla and salt. Whisk together. Pour egg mixture over bread. Cook on high 2 to 3 hours, until egg mixture is set. Serve with additional maple syrup, if desired.
