I tried this at a Pampered Chef party and it was delightful.

  • 1/4 cup instant coffee granules
  • 2 3/4 cups water divided
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14-oz
  • frozen whipped topping (optional)

In bowl, whisk coffee granules into 1/2 cup boiling water. Whisk in remaining 2 1/4 cups water and sweetened condensed milk until completely blended. Freeze mixture until firm. Remove from freezer and blend lightly (don't let it thaw). Place in bowls or parfait glasses. Garnish each serving with whipped topping and a few chocolate chips. Serve immediately. I think any freezable container would work; then transfer to blender for a brief (a few seconds) blending (the recipe called for using an "ice shaver").
