My son will order chili wherever we go and MY chili is his favorite! I "make it up" usually, but decided to try to write it all down to share. Can of this, can of that, and walllllah! The trick or twist for kids is the baked beans that simmer out some of the heat if you like it hot!

  • 1-2 pounds ground beef brown with onion, garlic
  • 1 whole onion browned with beef
  • 6 cloves garlic browned with beef
  • 1 15 ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 can petite-diced tomatoes italian style fine
  • 1 can white beans
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 can canneloni beans
  • 1 large can bush's baked beans
  • 1 package mccormick's chili season packet, hot
  • 1 package mccormick's chili season packet, mild
  • 1-2 cups water to desired thickness

Chop onion, mince garlic, then brown with beef in large stock pot. Once browned, add tomato sauce, paste, tomatoes, spice packets and all beans. Simmer minimum 30 minutes. Optional, brown in fry pan, and dump into crockpot, simmer several hours on low. Optional - add more spices from cumin, to chili pepper, oregano, as desired to kick it all up as you like!
